The Fusion Engine is seen by many as the most advanced Airsoft drive system available. The Fusion Engine is a high pressure air powered electro-pneumatic system that uses a computerized control board to fire solenoid valves that control the nozzle and primary poppet valve. This system allows total control of the rate of fire and velocity with only changes to the fire control unit (FCU) settings, regulator pressure, and nozzle color (only for 400+ FPS). The FCU settings also allow burst fire (2-9 round burst) and semi auto lock settings. The design and simplicity of the system means it requires only a little greasing of seals for maintenance and is extremely reliable with no parts put under enough stress they would ever break and no mechanisms that could jam. The Fusion Engine is a drop in unit that can be installed in most replica bodies of the correct version type, the main restriction being nozzles type and the selector design. They come with a M4 nozzles but other types can be installed and a standard M4 selector setup but can be configured for other designs.
All that is needed in addition to the Fusion Engine is a small battery for the FCU, a regulator that can be set to 120PSI or less and a HPA tank. An approximate estimate of shots per tank can be calculated with the formula (Tank capacity in ci) x (Tank pressure/100) = Shots per full tank but this can be greatly increase with setting tuning and minor upgrades.
