These ZCI reinforced gearboxes have a number of added features that make them stand out from normal V2 gearboxes. These cast zinc versions use the standard airsoft gearbox construction material but with higher quality castings and most stock gearboxes and some added reinforcements around the cylinder head. These gearboxes also feature a quick change spring system where the spring can be changed without dissembling the gearbox. In addition to the obvious benefit of being able to change the FPS much easier it allows the gearbox to be assembled without a spring guide for a much easier assembly process. These come pre-wired with a micro switch trigger and include the selector plate and cutoff lever. Micro switch triggers offer a short crisp trigger pull but have the trade off of not handling extreme currents well and a mosfet with denouncing or an external denouncer is recommended when installing a mosfet. These gearboxes are also currently the only know gearboxes that fit in the ZCI bodies due to the step at the rear of the gearbox.
