I purchased this barrel for use in a Real Sword SVD. I bought the gun used, and previous owner had removed the original barrel and replaced it with a very cheap tightbore, which needed to be replaced. Finding a barrel that was of sufficient length proved to be challenging until the ZCI barrel came along.
The quality of this barrel appears to be very good, with no visible finishing marks and a very smooth inner surface. On arrival, it didn't need much cleaning. Installation was very smooth.
Performance (note, this was paired with a modify flat hop bucking, and before installation of this barrel, the gun was chrono'd at 530fps with a .2 and an m140 spring): Noticeable jump in FPS and range. Didn't have access to a chrono at the time, but it was apparent. Consistency is good once the hop-up was dialed in. I'm not sure what the maximum range is anymore, all I know is that it shoots very, very far.
Conclusion: If you need an inexpensive barrel for a sniper rifle that performs well, I wholeheartedly recommend this barrel. Price is good, performance is good, build quality is good.
