These GMT piston heads are made from POM. The threads are supported by a brass nut that is cast into the POM body for maximum strength. It is highly recommend you use some thread locker on any piston head screw as it is common for them to come loose over time. The O-rings in these are of good quality with very clean seams. A good seam is very important to a consistent seal in with a piston head. The plastic construction combined with the brass nut makes these very strong and very light.
